Masi Campofiorin IGT is one of the top-quality red wines I have drunk. The type of its dryness is great compared with other red wines. I will continue to get it whenever I have to invite family members or friends.

I bought this for dinner at my girlfriends parents, and it went over like wildfire. Delicious, got better the longer it sat, went with salty meats on the charcuterie board and the folks even loved it with the pork. We are the converse! Highly recommend.

The Story

Born in 1964, Campofiorin is one of the world’s best-loved traditional Italian classics, internationally recognised as a ‘wine of stupendous size and complexity’, the creator of a new category of Veneto wines inspired by the Amarone technique.

Materials

Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara

Fit & Feel

Look: Intense ruby red. Nose: Ripe cherries and sweet spices. Palate: Rich, intense cherries and berry fruit; good length and soft tannins.

Sustainability

Harvest is now delayed even further and there is an increase in the percentage of dried grapes to make the wine even more harmonious, well-rounded and full-bodied, with more integral fruitiness.

Care

Serving temperature: 18-20° C Shelf life: 15-20 years

Questions

Is this wine appropriate for aging?+

Yes. This wine is shelf stable for up to 20 years and will develop a richer, more robust taste over time. Ideal aging time is 5-7 years.

What is the difference between Amarone and Ripasso?+

Valpolicella Ripasso is a more affordable "baby Amarone" created by refermenting standard Valpolicella over Amarone skins, adding body and complexity. Amarone offers intense raisin notes; Ripasso balances freshness with richer, dark fruit flavors.
